Visit Ile des Pins

In brief :

A twenty-minute flight from Noumea, or 2 hours by boat, the Ile des Pins concentrates all the beauties of the Pacific.
Its lagoon listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO allows Kuniés, the island’s inhabitants, to offer many activities: excursions to the fabulous Nokanhui Atoll and nearby islands, pirogue (dugout sailing canoes) rides on the bay of Upi, or tasting lobsters on the beach, with your feet in the sand... The interior of the island reserves additional discoveries to the visitors, among which are the caves and the old prison.
A trip to Ile des Pins is also a great opportunity to enjoy a bougna, the Kanak traditional dish.
