The Underwater World

Sky and sea

In brief :

The professional divers around the world know they can find in New Caledonia something that has almost disappeared elsewhere, some of the clearest waters in the world they can enjoy undisturbed, populated by an exceptionally rich marine life: parrotfish, blue grouper, grouper, rays, reef sharks, lobsters, turtles and nautilus. All these are gliding gracefully in a luxuriant flora: caverns covered with bryozoans and sea fans, sponges of all shapes, multicoloured corals, in corollas, balls or bushes.
