The flora of New Caledonia is remarkably rich. It boasts of 3,500 varieties of plants of which three-quarters are endemic. You can see blossoming tiaras, savannah niaoulis, the columnar pines proudly erected or relax in the shade of the flame trees in a natural and authentic preserve. Among them, Le Parc des Grandes Fougeres (i.e. the Park of the Giant Ferns) in Farino, which aims to protect a unique and endangered natural environment: the rainforest and its beautiful tree ferns.
